What to Do

Jericoacoara is a small fishermen village, today windsurf & kitesurf Mecca in Ceará, Brazil. Around 300km west of Fortaleza, wher main airport is located. Jeri, as it is affecrionately called, is the ind of idyllic place where many travellers end up dedicing to dsaty longer than planned.

Jericoacoara is a place removed from the hurried modern world of screeching sirens, maniac deadlines, trafiic jams and endless lineups. A place where streets are paved with sand, where beaches stretch as fas as the eye can see and where warm water marries with palm swaying breezes. Until about 20 years ago, Jeri was still a secluded and simple fishing village. There were no roads, no eletricity, no phons, no TV´s, no newspaper, and money was rarely used.

Sunset Dune

Every end pf the the day crowds climb the dune, right by the sea side, to watch the sunset from the top. From up there you will have an amazing panoramic view from the whole village and seaside. This is a sort of ritual that you should not miss!

While coming down the dune you can enjoy the "Roda de Capoeira", everyday, except Sundays.

Buggy Tours

A buggy tour to "Lagoa Paraíso" + "Lagoa Azul" it´s mandatory while visiting our paradise. It´s a 4 to 5 hours tour that will take you to fresh water lagoons after crossing the sand dunes in the middle of the National Park of Jericoacoara. If you have time for only one buggy tour this is the one we higky recommend!

"Lagoa Tatajuba", a bit out of Jeri, about 25km west - this is a full day tour that you will have the chance to enjoy the boat tour to see the seahorses, cross the Guriú river by a home made wood ferry at Guriú village, enjoy the highest dune view and reach Torta Lagoon!

From July to January Jericoacoara offers great wind conditions to enjoy kitesurfing every day. Many different spots for you to enjoy and also opportunity to downwinders. We have our our buggy and almost every day organize different buggy trips!
